Made a support structure for it to prepare for the resin coating. Tomorrow I am going to attempt to resin coat the poster board. I am going to start with some test pieces and then move to the actual sphere when I have the techniques down.
Some test fitting with the sphere "disks". Most of the paperwork is done for the sphere, now it's on to either the head design or the epoxy coating. We'll see which get's tackled first.
Working on my design for a inexpensive yet intuitive build. I am working on a tight budget so I am making my sphere out of inexpensive posterboard. I have tested some of the outer pieces for shape as a proof of concept. So far it seems like it will work for me. The glue started the paper a bit so they are not as clean as the final will look, but I think it should work as a good, and inexpensive, experiment.
Working on a head. My plan is to paper mache a base shape and then coat it to get a hard shell. Not sure on what to coat it with yet, but it's coming along.
